The Brief:

Lead the MBO acquisition of SealSkinz and establish the business as a leading brand of patented technical clothing accessories in the UK and overseas.

Activities:

  • Raise private equity and bank financing to fund the MBO

  • Grow business at a compound rate of over 35% for 5 consecutive years

  • Establish SealSkinz as a category leading brand in the cycle, outdoor and equestrian markets in the UK and overseas as well as selling directly to the UK military and industrial markets

  • Design and launch new product ranges and enter new end-use markets

  • Run UK manufacturing and overseas sourcing operations

Results:

Successfully exited the business having been recognised as one of the British Venture Capital Association’s top 101 entrepreneurs.
